2020 Tour Reports

Day 1: Nebraska, South Dakota on Pace for Record Yields – The first day of the DTN/Progressive Farmer 2020 Digital Yield Tour, powered by Gro Intelligence, finds that a smooth planting season, favorable temperatures and timely rains have record crops in the making in South Dakota and Nebraska.

 

Day 2: Missouri and Kansas Chase Corn and Soybean Records This Summer p – For the second day, the DTN Digital Yield Tour found corn and soybean production nearing record levels in its state-by-state examination of Gro Intelligence's real-time yield models.

 

Day 3: Iowa Derecho Impact to Be Determined, But Record Yields Ahead for MN, WI – More than 13.7 million acres of corn and soybeans in Iowa were in the path of Monday's derecho, according to estimates by Gro Intelligence. While that throws a wildcard into that state's yield projections, beneficial weather in Minnesota and Wisconsin has those states on a path to set new records.

Day 5: National Average Corn Yield at 183.9 BPA, Soybeans at 53.1 BPA – After exploring yield potential in 10 states across the Midwest, the DTN/Progressive Farmer 2020 Digital Yield Tour, powered by Gro Intelligence, concluded by forecasting a national average corn yield that's several bushels higher and a soybean yield that's a touch lower than USDA's August estimates.
